Alas, the digital photography juggernaut and Polaroid’s recent tough times meant that the 1200FF was discontinued just a few years after its release – although the Spectra film format is still actively produced and distributed throughout the world.ĪUTHENTIC DEADSTOCK-LIMITED TO 200 PIECES The shots are awesome, the operation is simple and reliable, and the camera is one of the most enjoyable Polaroids to shoot and handle. With its post-futuristic silver shape and a unique fold-up convertible body, the 1200FF is in a class of its own. But none were quite as striking as 2001’s Spectra 1200FF. From those early days, quite a few Spectra cameras were released to support this slamming new system. ![]() Priced higher and aimed at a more discerning market, the Spectra series featured higher quality optics and more solid metering for an overall better resulting image.
